Shut Up & Squat

Devin and I are going to Vegas with our friends next month and we are both wanting to get in shape.
I have been running but it has been a little difficult but we'll get into that later.
We were at their house on Saturday talking about looking good in swim suits and decided to do the 30 day Squat Challenge.
That's great for our butts but what about the rest of our bodies...?
So we found the 30 day Ab Challenge and combine the 2.
I also add in pushups to work my arms.
On the squats I do just what it says.
On the abs, I do the situps until I can't do them anymore same with the planks, and the leg lifts I add about 15 - 20.

I've always done situps here and there so what it says to do wasn't a challenge for my abs.
I will also add pushups until I can't do them anymore and everyday I find I can do more and more.
I text my friend every day to remind her that we have squats.
I don't want to be the only one in pain I don't want to be the only one looking good in my swim suit!
We are now on day 5 (rest day for squats) and man can I feel it!
And it feels amazing!
Who doesn't love feeling sore from a workout?
It means that you are doing it right and pushing your body!
Best. Feeling. Ever!
This weekend I'm going to do a wrap to tighten my belly from having my baby and I will post before and afters.
I'm soo excited to wrap!

So running....
I have had a hard time getting out and running.
With working full time, taking care of my family, doing things around the house and selling It Works!, by the time I'm ready to go running, the sun is setting or my gym closes in an hour....
When I first did my training for the 1/2 marathon it was easy.
I couldn't figure out why it was so hard to go running.
Well, when I did it the first time, I got off work at 3:30 and had no baby.
And we lived with my father-in-law so I didn't really have a whole house to take care of.
It's crazy how a kid can change your world ;)
For the better of course!
Even though I'm not running I still am working out and getting my heart rate up.
Just by working my abs, doing squats and pushups you increase your heart rate.
Also, if you are taking a break in between, make sure it's no more than a minute.
You don't want to give yourself too much time in between.
And remember to drink your protein!
Here is an awesome recipe with great protein powder!

Happy Wednesday!
