I hope everyone had a GREAT Easter Weekend!
We had so much fun!
Saturday morning we got up and went to an Easter Egg hunt that our city was putting on.
It was mostly the "swarm of the parents"
I understand with the younger kids 2 and under have the parents help them.
But that doesn't mean that you rush out there and pick up most of the eggs for your child.
I let Lyle pick them up and put them in his basket.
He got about 5 full ones and then started going after the eggs that were already broken apart.
It made him happy so I was happy.
After the hunt Lyle got to sit in the firetruck and press buttons!
He was in button heaven up there.
Don't worry, he didn't sound the sirens or anything.
He's too light to push anything hard enough ;)
After that we went home and took naps while I ran to a Wrap Party with my friend Kortnee.
She did amazing!
I took great notes for my party on Saturday and am so excited!
I went home and then Devin, Lyle and I ran to my parents house.
Literally ran.
During the run Devin kept saying "what did I get myself into?"
I said, "you married me!" :)
haha!
We ran almost 8 miles and burned 742 calories that we quickly got back with the delicious dinner we ate.
After dinner Lyle got to do another egg hunt and it was so much better.
Lyle had time to walk around without being rushed and find all his eggs in the grass.
Or he called them "ba balls" which is football or basketball.
We are still working on the word 'egg'.
I even wrapped my Mom's arms after.
I'm excited for her results!
Don't worry. I will share them along with my own.
Sunday we went to church and Lyle did amazing!
He was soo good!
We got to listen to the great messages!
I had a hard time teaching our class (14 - 18 year olds).
I was the biggest baby.
It was still a wonderful lesson.
That night we went to Devin's Dad's for dinner and another Easter Egg Hunt.
Lyle picked up a few eggs and then was distracted by the jeep.
Mom and dad finished picking up the rest of his eggs.
It was such a fun weekend spent with family.
And it went by way too fast!
