This weekend was soo much fun!
Annie decided she was going to surprise Toad while he was gone and redo their bedroom.
She called her personal Interior Designer(Me) and asked for my help with it.
It was soo much fun to actually do what I want to major in.
And....her room didn't turn out that bad... ;)
She was scared to go too bold so we stuck to warmer colors with gold under tones.
She did a tan color with a yellow accent wall, with a pop of burgundy.
She has this gorgeous iron sleigh bed and we found some very cute decor to go along with it.
We had a blast shopping with DeeDee to find things for the room also.
We found this awesome vase at Ross and DeeDee said, "it's like man and woman coming together".
Take that how you want....
Annie found this really cute vintage iron woman figure(Emily, if you are reading this, it totally reminded me of you :) ).
It was so much fun to help pick out the colors and decor and also help put the room together.
I can't wait until I go back to school for something I love doing. :)
Sunday was Elder Dez Swain's homecoming! :)
Never have I been more happy to have someone come home from their mission!
The relationship I have with Dez is a brother - sister relationship.
We met in band class Sophomore year and have had an awesome relationship since.
He has been there for me through all the tough trials I've had to go through during high school from boys to family.
Even if he didn't know it, just a smile and hug from him made my day better.
It was amazing to see him on Sunday and to hear how his testimony has grown.
He has matured a ton but is still happy Dezzy.
I've missed him and cannot say how happy I am that he is home.
And it's amazing to see my best friends grow and how their testimony's and relationship with the Savior have grown.
Speaking of Best Friends...
22 years ago today, I was up in Heaven cheering on Kayla Hampton as she came down to Heaven.
I knew we'd be best best friends and was excited for her to meet her new family.
22 years later, she is living up in Logan going to college and I'm in Layton, married and buying a house.
We don't talk that much and don't see each other often,
but when we do...it's like we were never apart.
We pick up right where we left off.
I know that I can count on her to be there if I ever needed anything at all.
She has and will continue to be my Best Friend no matter where life takes us.
Happy Birthday to my Best Friend.
I love you!
