Swoobs, Swass but Kinda Fast

12 people, 2 vans, 200(ish) miles...
The Ragnar was sooo much fun!!
I'm actually kinda bumbed that it's over.
I'm a running addict and could keep going.
And it was fun to be with my family + Jason in van 1.
We had so much fun!
If you aren't sure what the Ragnar is (also known as Wasatch Back) go here.
Since we were sleep deprived, we laughed way to much!
We all slept at Matt and Mandee's house on Thursday night because we got  up at 3 to head up to Logan.
April was so funny on the drive up.
You could tell that she didn't get much sleep.
Mandee started us off at 5:30.
It was so fun to see all the different vans decorated and the funny sayings as we waiting for Mandee.
These were the legs that I ran:

The hardest run was leg 15 because it was sooo hot!!!
I thought the finish would never come!
My funnest run was leg 27 up the back of Jordanelle!
Those hills were soo much fun!
And I felt AMAZING afterwards!
As I was coming to the exchange to pass the slap bracelet to April, I did a heal click.
Everyone couldn't believe that I did it because it's the last run for runner 3 and usually everyone is tired.
Not me!
I did make an impression with my awesome heal click too!
At the next exchange when we were watching April come it to pass off to Matt, I heard someone say,

"I thought about doing a heal click like that chick at the last exchange but I was too tired"

YAY!!
"that chick" was me!!
It made me feel good!
Because you are sleep deprived, you need to do things to keep it entertaining.
When I was running and saw my van, I would flex my mucles or shimmy and man can I shimmy right now! ;)
You have to make it fun or it is a waste of $100+ bucks!
The finish was packed but so much fun to see all the rest of the teams together.
Plus we got free pizza!
That was the best pizza I have ever tasted!
While we were running we ate mostly snack foods like gold fish, pretzels, trail mix...
stuff like that.
So that pizza tasted almost like heaven.
I can't wait until next year to run it again!
I think my new goal is to run all the Ragnar's.
The Miami one looks so fun because you finish and they jump on a cruise ship!
They call it the Ragnar Vacation!
Doesn't that sound amazing?
I think so! :)

Sister Hoellein

My little sister has been on her LDS mission for two weeks now!
and I am definitely feeling the withdrawals.... ;)
I don't have my crazy sister that I can go shopping with and instead of buying clothes, we goof off, laugh and talk in crazy accents.
I think that's what we do most is laugh.
Saturday I hung out with April and she saw the crazy side of me.
It was pretty funny.
I think it might be that time that I share my craziness with them anyways. ;)
She sent us a letter and is having a blast!
She can't believe how green everything is!
And she hasn't felt the humidity yet...
She's been warned by so many members though.
Her and her companion, Sister Wagner have been sent to Nashua New Hampshire and they are the first two sister missionaries in the area!
This is what she said:

"We went to the early morning seminary class and being the first Sister missionaries in the area the young women would walk in, see us, drop their jaws on the floor and then run up to us and squual about their being sister missionaries now. then they would leave and come back with more young women  who would do the same thing all over again! It was absolutely AWESOME!!!"

I don't think I know one person who doesn't love Tara and can see all the young women out there falling in love with her sweet, hopefully not so sassy, personality.
Maybe the sassy part is just with me...oh well. :)

She also had a crazy experience with Satan.
When I read this, my protective side started to come out.
And it started playing out in my head like a scary movie.
I've had my own experiences and can testify that Satan is real.
I hope you don't have to have these types of experiences but it happens.

"Ok scary experience.... Satan is totally real. I didn't know how real until the other night and after talking with Sister Wagner and almost crying, well I did cry, I am getting a blessing from the Elders. So I went to bed and was just laying there and then felt like someone was grabbing my arms and it was weird. I brushed it off as my muscles just being tired and turned onto my back and tried to fall asleep again. I then felt 'someon's'  messaging my arms and then was grabbed/pushed down while I was just laying there. I remember yelling in my ind "Satan get out! Satan get away!" and then I was able to fall asleep. It was terrifying after I actually talked about it with Sister Wagner and I didn't want to sleep. She reminded me that I have the power to send him out by acting in Jesus Christs name and we had a really nice talk about it all in the car. So that night we prayed, I cried and before I went to sleep I commanded Satan in the name of Jesus Christ to GET OUT!!! I slept amazingly and am very grateful for prayer, Sister Wagner, Faith, Jesus Christ and the Priesthood. This gospel is amazing and I'm excited to continue the work!!!"

Doesn't that first part just send chills down your back???
They do mine!
Dee wasn't home when I read it and it didn't make me feel that comfortable in my house.
But once he walked through that door with the Priesthood, that feeling left.
I am so grateful for the Power of Priesthood.
It has helped me with so much throughout my life!

I am so proud of my sister that she has made this decision!
This is going to be a fun experience for both of us!

If you have questions about an LDS mission go here.
It an amazing decision that the youth make!

Have a good Tuesday!

MIA

I know I've been MIA for that last month..and a half...
But I started my new job and am loving the job!
I still miss my baby and wish I was at home with him but he is in good hands.
We found a GREAT daycare!
It is a husband and wife and they run it out of the basement of their house.
Little Man loves them to.
When we get there in the mornings and I'm getting him out of his car seat, he tries to sit up to see the other kids or Mr. Shane.
And when he does see Mr. Shane, he gets the biggest smile on his face and gets so excited!
I love it!
They send me an email during lunch to let me know how he is doing and at the end of the day have a "report" for me.
How much and when he ate, how long and when he slept, how many dirty diaper...etc.
It makes a HUGE different having a good daycare.

Lyle is almost 6 months old!
He will be on Sunday and I cannot believe it!
It has gone by so fast and he is changing everyday!
I'll give you the full report on Sunday when I do my picture :)

I ran tha Ogden Half marathon again last month.
It was a BLAST!
But...it poured the entire time!
And, I beat my last year time by half an hour!
I was so proud of myself.
But I also wasn't 3 month pregnant this time.
Mandee and I are working towards doing a full marathon.
It will be fun to say that I did it but I've got to work up my mind to do that many miles.
In two weeks Dee and I are running the Ragnar (or Wasatch Back) and am so excited!
This will be Dee's first race and he is pretty excited too.

Work is going great and I am loving being busy doing loans.
And the people I work with are HILARIOUS!
We have the most random conversations.
The only downfall with working my mind this hard, when I have to think of something I can't because my mind is fried.
I'm working on it though. ;)

I'm still running and working out but will have to put the "Wednesday Workouts" on hold, like they have been, until I get this working Mother thing down.
I'm still trying to find the groove with working, doing yard work, house work, etc.
Happy Friday Everyone!
