Thanksgiving Week

Last week was so much fun!
I only had to work on Monday and had the rest of the week to do whatever I wanted.
Let's just say that it will be more "entertaining" when this little boy is here.
I hung out with my Mom when she wasn't at work and then when Dee got off work, we went to work on the house.
We got soo much done last week!
This will be a picture overload post because we got a lot done last week plus Thanksgiving!

We only had 12 days left!

They did an amazing job with the grout!

Before/After

This is how it is going to look with the floors finished.
The dark part in the corner is what the wood looked like before.
We are keeping the natural wood look on the floors.
It looks so amazing!

Matt did a great job tiling the floor!
He said that he has never tiled before this night.
He could have fooled me.

Dee sanding the floors.

We figured out how to get it done faster and have more fun doing it!

The boys had to join in too!

Even I joined in on the fun! :)
April was hoping that it would help induce labor.
The Little Man is still cooking today.

Brody figured out how to climb my tree.
He was having a blast jumping off it.
Good thing he didn't get hurt.

On Thanksgiving we had our traditional Turkey Shoot.
Of course I was there with all the boys!
I never miss!

I love this sexy boy!

I had fun shooting my hand gun and figuring out the aiming.
Hand guns are different than shot guns.
We threw pumpkins in the river and shot at them.
It was so nice because I could see if I was shooting to high or too low.

Can't forget the shot gun!
I LOVE shooting and the stronger the kick the better! :)

April and I pretending to shoot.
April doesn't like the kick from the shot gun.
At least we got her to shoot once. :)

Such a stud!!

They destroyed that pumpkin!

I'm so thankful for my sexy hubby!
He is really soo smart!
He has saved us soo much money on the house because he knows how to do everything!
(pretty much anyways)
He loves to have fun with me and fits in perfectly with my family!
Our nieces and nephews love "Uncle Dee" and can't wait to tackle him when he walks through the door.
I know he will be the best Dad to our little boy by the way he is with the kids.
I'm so glad that I am sealed to him for time and all eternity!
I couldn't imagine my life without him!
Happy (late) Thanksgiving!

And Happy Monday!
(only one more work week)

Weekend

Over the weekend we had a party at our house.
A tiling party anyways.
It was still a blast!
My Mom, Dad, Jake, April, Todd, Tara, Braxten, Brody, Dee and I were all there.
I can't do a whole lot and my Mom gets mad at me if I try to do anything so I handed pieces of tile to April to get ready for my Mom to lay on the floor.
The tile looks amazing with the hardwood floors and the cabinets!
I'm soo excited to get everything finished!
While the women were working on the floor,
Dee, my Dad and Todd were working on the bathroom.
I  didn't take a before picture at the very beginning of the process but I have one of before they started tiling.
Enjoy the pics!

My Mom is a Rock Star!

Todd was chalking a new straight line for us to follow.
He was making a "3-6-9" triangle.
At least thats what I think it was called.

He was soo excited that he got the line straight!

The bathroom (obviously) before the fun began.

This is probably a "had to be there" moment but it was hilarious and I know when I go back to read this post later in life, I will laugh my head off.
The women were in the kitchen doing our thing and Tara was vacuuming to make it easier for the mortar to lay and stick.
April decided to start singing the note that the vacuum was making and as she was singing it said, "I think this is an A-Flat"
We bust out laughing!

Background on my family:
All of us girls sing.
And when we get together to practice for a performance, my Mom is our biggest critic and also has a pitch pipe everywhere we go.

April said that we should take the vacuum instead of the pitch pipe to get our notes.
We laughed and joked around a little bit more about taking the vacuum to sacrament.
Anyways, April decided to hold the note again.
Tara joined in, then my Mom, then I.
We had the perfect quartet going on with the vacuum.
It was soo funny!

For me it's hilarious.
Hopefully it's just as funny for you.

If you get at all what I am talking about. ;)

Sunday we had our first Thanksgiving of 3.
The Newman Thanksgiving.
It was so much fun and the food was delicious!
But I think I am going to be sick of the same food 3 times in one week.
And also pie.
But it was so much fun to be surrounded by family that loves us!
And everyone is soo excited to meet the newest addition to our family in a few more weeks!

Happy Monday/Friday!
(Today is the only day I work this week)

37 Weeks

3 Weeks....
21 days...
16 week days....
3 more weekends...
My Little Man is coming...
I'm more excited now that it's getting closer.
Still a little nervous but who isn't?
You have to push a baby out of your body.
Ouch...
Hopefully not so much.
I'm going to go as long as I can without the epidural.
Just because of the fact that I hate needles and am absolutely afraid of them.
Call me a whimp, wuss...whatever you want.
We all have our fears and I fear needles.
I don't know what it is about them.
Maybe the fact that something sharp is going into my body that isn't suppose to?
I dunno...

The last update I did was at 24 weeks.
So here is the 37 week update:

How far along? I think we know
Total Weight gain/loss?: Still don't like this question...
Maternity Clothes? I don't wear them much anymore. I don't have to wear "business dress" to work this whole month. :) The only maternity pants I wear are my leggings. If I could I would wear my pjs all day.
Stretch Marks: Nothing new
Sleep? I think this is a super power now. I can fall into a deep sleep at the drop of a dime. And wake up when I have to pee...which is usually in the middle of the night because I drink so much water. Dee calls me a camel I drink so much.
Best moment last week? He has fuzz! haha! I'm curious to see what color his fuzz is going to be.
Movement? He still moves like crazy! All day and night. I wonder how he is going to be when he gets here...is he going to be crazy like he is now? or is he going to be so tired from 40 weeks of kick boxing and be relaxed?
Food Cravings? Still no food cravings. Thank goodness.
Labor Signs? None. that I know of anyways. I think he has dropped just a little bit because sometimes he'll put his head or shoulder on my leg bone or nerve and it makes me walk funny. Or he's just getting bigger... but no contractions or anything yet.
Belly button in/out? it is completely flat! It did poke out for a few weeks but then he got bigger and it's flat again. It's crazy how much your body changes.
What I miss: sleeping on my tummy...and popping my back. I cannot wait to pop my back again!
What I am looking forward to: Holding my Little Man for the first time. To see his ten little toes and ten little fingers. Look into his precious eyes. I'm excited to meet him!
Milestone: We hit the 37 week mark! He can officially come anytime and the Dr. won't stop labor. But we want him to cook for at least 2 more weeks.

Everything is coming together and working out perfectly!
The house is almost done and I think hope we will be able to move into the house next weekend.
Tile and sanding floors this weekend.
Then painting and we are done!
So close!

Happy Friday!

House Update

I haven't been to the house as much as I use to because I can't do anything.
And sitting on a bucket watching Dee works gets so boring.
Yesterday we bought the tile and everything to prep for the tile! :)
I went to the house with food, ate, then left Dee to work on the house.
I didn't just sit and watch Netflix as much as I wanted to...
I did fold laundry at the same time :)
I was pooped yesterday and feel asleep at 9 and I think Dee woke me up around...11:30 when he got home from the house.
I was up for 2 minutes and then out like a light again.
I slept like a baby last night!

It was amazing!
I need as much sleep as I can get before this baby gets here.

Anyways...here are some updates on the house:

Fireplace gone! Door framed in. Floors ready to be refinished and tiled.

Guest bedroom ready to be painted and floors refinished

\
Floors and walls ready

Babies room was a pain! But the walls and floors are ready!

All the walls are textured and ready to be painted. No more ugly brown carpet!

We are making progress still and are so close!
I am so excited to be in soon and have a little "down time" to enjoy the rest of the pregnancy when we move in.

Happy Tuesday!

Baby Shower

Yesterday we had the Bartholomew shower.
It was packed!
And half of the presents were from Grandma Newman!
I didn't get ay pictures of how many gifts there were but they took up half the living room.
It was so much fun to see people from our previous ward and also see family from Tremonton.
Up North they hardly got any snow.
More down South they got twice as much as we have in Layton.
I'm glad everyone made it here and home safely.
And my best friends were able to make it!!
It was so much fun to see them!
I miss them so much!
I've been wanting to get up to Logan to see Maddi and Kayla but being pregnant, working on our house and getting ready for baby has taken up most of my time.
The rest of it goes to work and sleeping :)
Here are some pictures of the baby shower thrown by my Sisters-In-Law

They did a breakfast bar and the food was DELICIOUS!
I wanted to eat so much but held back because I was talking to so many people.
And having braces don't go very well with eating and talking..
Another reason I kept it to a minimum on the food.
My Mom and Tara were also able to make it!
Tara missed the one last week so I was so happy that she came this week!
My Mom had fun catching up with my friends and there lives.
And also laughing at how many blankets we got from Grandma Newman.
She has a blanket for each outfit.
And...she LOVES to spoil her grandkids!

I love these girls so much!
I am so glad that I have had them in my life since I was little.
We've been through tons together and I wouldn't change any of it!
It's made us who we are today and a heck of a lot closer!

They were all engaged in October and I couldn't be more happy for all three of them!
Lyssa is getting married on January 12th
Kayla on January 26th
and Maddi hasn't picked a date yet but I'm thinking she said around May.
We will see!
I can't wait to go to their weddings and watch them be sealed for Time and All Eternity to the loves of their lives!
It is the best thing ever!

I am getting so excited to meet this little boy and am starting to get things ready.
Grandma Newman also got us the car seat and stroller combo and I got the diaper bag and car seat ready so we don't have to worry about it later.

The next thing I need to do is pack a bag for Dee and I.
I think I'll do that this week.
I am also going to make Little Man a football onsie and a blanket.
I just have to find the time and money to get everything.
The money is all going to the house so I might have to sneak it out of the account before Dee notices ;)
I only have 26 days left until my due date!
It's all getting closer!

Happy Sunday!

Halloween, Lindy, House and Pregnancy

It's been awhile since I've posted anything and honestly my mind is overwhelmed when I think about the past few weeks and what has happened.
Last week was my favorite holiday!
And everything was perfect!
I cannot remember the last time that I didn't wear a jacket walking around trick-or-treating!
We met at Ginger's house and walked her neighborhood this year.
I love all my nieces and nephews!
About halfway through, we decided to play a trick on whoever opened the door.
Instead of saying "trick-or-treat", we told them to say "happy birthday!"
It was pretty hilarious to watch the people's reaction.
They didn't really know what to say.
So the resorted to complimenting the kids on their costumes.
I didn't get any pictures...horrible I know...but this is what the kiddies were:

Cooper - Two Face (from bateman) Amber made him the most awesome suit ever!
Sadie - Nice Skeleton (she made sure to say that she was a nice one)
Ben - Ute fan
Brinley - stayed home not feeling well
Brooks - Mario
Carter - Hawkeye (most attractive one I've ever seen! ;))
Reese - Flapper girl, She had fake eyelashes on...oh man! she is going to knock those boys out!
Braxton and Brody were ninjas
and Little Man was a pumpkin ;)

They got soo much candy!
and a ton of HUGE candy bars!
I don't think I ever got a big candy bar trick-or-treating!

Lindy and Matt came from Cali last Thursday for my baby shower.
It was soo much fun to see them!
We had a party for them on Friday and they had an announcement to make...
No they aren't pregnant.
But that definitely was what we knew they would think.

Matt and Lindy are going to be sealed for Time and all Eternity in February!
Road trip to Cali!!! woohoo!

They got ten balloons, pink, blue and white (of course everything thought she was pregnant) and put pieces of paper in each one that had a random drawing on it.
In the tenth balloon, she folded a piece of paper, that said "Forever February 2012", around a picture of the San Diego Temple and stuffed it in.
That balloon was mine.
They made sure that each kid had a balloon to pop including Little Man.
It was hilarious watching them try to pop the balloons.
Brody put his on the ground and would jump and land on his bum on the balloon.
The balloon didn't pop and he bounced right off.
It was soo funny!
I was the last one to pop my balloon and I was sitting next to my Mom.
Honestly...I HATE popping balloons.
I hated it when they would play that stupid game in school and made you sit on the balloon to pop it.
I can't do it.
And even though I had a sharp object to pop my balloon...I still made my Mom do it.
and I did scream...
I told my Mom to open it up and her face was priceless.
There were cheers, hugs and tears all around the room.
Then the planning began...love trips!

Saturday we had the Hoellein shower and I always have a blast with my sisters!
Getting all the stuff just made it more realistic that this kid is coming soon!
And the excitement is getting higher and higher! :)
I have the Bartholomew shower this weekend and am going to be overwhelmed with baby stuff.
I have no where to put everything yet...
So it's at my parents house in their computer room.

The house is still coming along.
slowly...We are both getting tired and when I'm not at the house with Dev, he likes to take his sweet time doing things.
We have to finish the floors, tile and paint.
Then we can move in!
Not a whole lot right....?
It just takes so much time...
I'm hoping by the end of next week we'll be able to move in but I'm not getting my hopes up.
We've passed so many deadlines that I just want to get in before this Little Man comes.

I am currently 35 weeks and have 4 weeks and 2 days left.
Or 30 days!
AH!
I'm more excited than nervous now!
Things are calming down and I have time to take care of some other things that I need to.

Here's something to make you smile/think
Happy Wednesday!
