My weekend started on Wednesday Night.
Dev came home and had me pack a bag real quick.
First of all, Dev is HORRIBLE with surprises!
He can never keep anything in!
If I bug him about it at least twice he usually will give in and tell me what's going on
or
He'll tell our friends what he's doing with me sitting next to him...
I was beyond surprised!
He took me to Park City to stay at the Marriott that is right on the resort!
The one with the 6 hot tubs...
The green and white one you can see as you are going up the gondola...
Yeah... :) that's the one! :)
I was sooo surprised!
It was gorgeous!
It had a kitchin fully equipped, living room with a fireplace, a HUGE tub in our bed room, and then a bathroom.
I was in shock!
My hubby FINALLY pulled of an AMAZING surprise! :)
We went hot tubing that night as it rained on us.
It was so much fun!
When we woke up there was snow!
and...it was still snowing!
It was so pretty and so much fun!
but....I think we skipped a season....my favorite one too. :)
Since we don't have a tv, it was fun to just lay in bed watching tv.
And...we watched the best show EVER!
We watched Mickey Mouse Club House! :)
It was pretty fun!
We went to the Outlets and shopped at my most favorite store!
Can you guess which store it is...?
I'll give you a few clues...
In the upper section...
Biggest store there...
ok...I can't think of any others.. :)
We bought me a bunch of new clothes at the Nike store!
WOOHOO!
Because it was snowing, and blowing like crazy... we decided to leave a little earlier and go to Gateway.
We met up with Lindy and did some more shopping.
I'm slowing changing my wardrobe and we bought me two pairs of skinny jeans.
They had to order them in for me so I won't get them until this weekend.
But I am soo excited!
After we were dune at Buckle, Lindy took me to Aldo and we picked out some really cute ankle boots!
I am in love with them!
I can't wait to get more! :) hehe
Devin totally spoiled me that day!
And I think he had a blast doing it too!
We were both so happy!
No stress, no worries, hey! Hakuna Matata! :)
Friday, after work, I watched Sadie while Amber had a meeting.
We had so much fun walking through South Towne mall looking at everything.
I gave in and we bought some ice cream and some treats.
It's really hard to say no to my adorable niece! :)
Amber met up with us after and we bought some cute Halloween stuff for her Spooktacular at the Hallmark store.
We went to Noodles and Company to carb load.
Most amazing noodles I have had!
And their soda machine!!!! IT IS THE COOLEST!!
You choose what type you want, and then pick the flavor, and it all comes out the same place!
It was soo much fun!
We then went to Tai Pan to get more Halloween decor and had so much fun looking at everything!
After we were done, I went to my parents house to pick up Tara so we could head out to Mandee's house.
I slept at Mandee's so we could all take one car to the Marathon.
We were up until mid-night laughing at the most ridiculous things.
I think it was more that we were so tired.
But it was fun.
We were up at 5 getting ready to pick up Tanill at 5:30.
We were in Layton at 6 and waiting for the buses to take us to the start at 6:15.
They said that the last bus was leaving at 6:30 and not 6:31 so we had to get on a bus.
Of course, things never work out how they are planned, they were short a few buses and we didn't get on a bus until 7:15.
Did I mention it was FREEZING??!
We were soo cold!
Of course we weren't wearing sweats and hoodies.
Who would wear that running 26.2 or 13.1 miles?
That is INSANE!
We toughed it out and were at the start getting ready for everything to start a half our later.
We started in the middle of the Cause Way at 8.
This is going to sound insane but the run was so much fun!
Everything went perfect.
My breathing was under control, my legs weren't tired, and my mind was entertained with music and the pro photographers.
Every photographer that we passed, I made a face or flashed the peace sign.
I don't think they were expecting it.
Everyone is so serious.
Tanill took off at the beginning and I left Mandee in the dust at about one mile.
There isn't much to say about running 13.1 miles but I think you get the picture.
With about two miles left, Mandee caught up to me...that is a story I am not aloud to post or tell.
But it is hilarious!
I tried to catch up with her but my legs were so numb.
(at about mile 10 they went numb and I new I couldn't stop)
I sped up a little but not enough to catch up to her.
She was on a mission.
Tanill finish at 1:52
Mandee at 1:57
and I at 1:58
We made our goal!
Under two hours!
WOOHOO!!
It was also fun to come in to the finish line and to see, and hear, April, Todd, my Mom, Jake, Brody, Braxton, Ben, Brinley and Brooks cheering for me. :)
Next time Dee is going to be there.
No questions and no arguments :)
Right after that we went to Carter's soccer game and watched the last half.
They lost but did soo good!
After the soccer game, Mandee, Amber, Sadie and I went to get our toes done.
It felt so good to get my calfs massaged. :)
(this whole day I kept going and going with no down time)
Right after the manicure, I booked it home to shower and then go out with my besties for my birthday.
Maddi, Kayla, Alyssa and I went to Chili's and had a BLAST!
We were laughing so hard and often!
The little girl sitting behind Maddi and Alyssa kept turning around and glaring at us.
She was just jealous she wasn't having as much fun as we were. ha!
When dinner was finally finished and they got rid of us, we went bowling.
We had so much fun playing with the camera, talking, and bowling.
I have the bestest friends in the whole world!
After bowling, we went to Alyssa's new house!
O.M.G.....it totally screams Orton's right when you see it! :)
It was gorgeous!
She gave us the tour and then we just chilled.
It was a nice way to end the day :)
It would have been even better if Dee was waiting for me to come home :)
He's having fun with the 'Men' though :)
Next time I'll go with him.
That was my non-stop weekend and am excited for next year to run a full marathon! :)
(I'll post pictures later from the weekend/run)
