It's Beginning to Look a lot like Christmas...

NO!!
It's only October!!
This is what I walked out to this morning...

You can't tell but it was still snowing.
And the flakes were like feathers.

I love the snow but not this early.
Each year the snow comes earlier and earlier.
I remember when I was little going out on warmer nights to go trick-or-treating.
Now all the kids wear snow coats so they don't freeze their little tooshies off.
At least next week will be warmer...or not snowing.

It also makes my nerves jump because it means the end of the year is coming and that means baby will be here soon...
Oh wow!!
I'm more excited than nervous the closer it gets.
But I worry about my house.
We got Little Man's room textured last night but we are at a stand still with texturing because our furnace is being fixed.
So we have no heat to dry the mud.
We do have some space heaters but they make me nervous leaving them on while I'm not there.
But that's what we are going to have to do until the furnace is fixed if we want to get some stuff done.
I'll get a picture of the texture when it's dry.
Little Man's Room - Check
Next - "Master" Bedroom and tile
My Mom and I are going to paint my bedroom while Devin and whoever is going to help him get everything ready for the tile in the kitchen and bathroom.
I'm so excited that we are almost done and I can cross things off the list! :)
It makes it so much more real that we have a house of our own and a baby on the way!

Last night Dee was being so cute with me and my belly.
I was taking off wallpaper (yes...more wallpaper in the bathroom) and while I was standing on the bucket, he snuck in and put his arms around me and my belly and hugged as hard as he could (or dared).
He kept kissing my belly and said,

"I can't believe how much I already love this little boy!"

It was so cute to hear him say that.
I think it hit him hard last night as he was finishing the texture in the baby's room.
He hugged me like this a few times last night and I loved it.

It's Thursday and that means I get to see my Little Man!
I can't wait!
3:15 better come quick!

Here's a little something to help you through today.
It's almost the weekend!

Happy Thursday!

The Countdown...

Last night Dee had to work on his truck before we went to work on the house so I had time to kill.
I was talking to Lindy earlier yesterday and she said that I should make a chain and countdown the days till my due date.
I had just enough time to make on last night :)
I have less than 7 weeks left which that's not long but it sounds longer than 45 days...
I told Dee that last night and I could see the sweat start to bead on his forehead and the fear hit his face.

(he didn't really sweat but you get the idea)
This is how the conversation went:

Me: You know we have less than 7 weeks until this Little Man get here
Dee: Yeah I know. I'm working on it (talking about the house)
Me: You know whats even more crazy?
Dee: .....what?....
Me: We only have 46 days left...
Dee: .......DON'T SAY THAT! I have to much to do before he gets here!
Me: *calmly* Just thought you should know *smirk*

It sounds soo much closer when you count down the days instead of the weeks.
Anyways...I took the chain and I hung it right above the closet in the babies room.

We started more on his room last night.
We took off the remaining wood paneling and scraped off the pain in the butt glue.
I sanded the walls while Dee patched holes.
Tonight we are texturing the walls and his room will be ready for the floors to be refinished in his room.
I can't put a time on when we will be in the house exactly but we know for sure it will be before this baby comes.
And as long as I have his bedroom done before the shower on the 3rd I'll be happy.
I need somewhere to put all his stuff :)

On a different note...
I absolutely love Despicable Me and the cute minions.
I send Tara all the funny and cute pics I find of them.
My current background on my texts is the minions...duh
I found these last night and love them!

Can't you hear his voice? haha!

Another sister posted this on FB and I love it!
It's hilarious!
I love how the Hulk Minion is punching Thor Minion.
and I think that's his tongue sticking out on Thor.

I sent them to Tara for a laugh.
They always seem to make her laugh and have a better day while she's stuck on campus studying her little heart away.
Love her so much!

Happy Tuesday!

Overwhelmed with feelings, Weekend, and Shower

I have been overwhelmed with so many different feelings these past few weeks.
We still aren't in our house...and doubt we'll be in by the end of this month.
So many things keep coming up that we have to fix before we continue work on the house.
Money doesn't grow on trees...
The plan for this week is to get all the texturizing done on the walls and have then dried by this weekend.
On Saturday, the plan is to sand and finish the floors.
That is an all day project.
The week after that the plan is to paint the walls and tile the floors.
Somewhere in their we are going to redo the bathroom but not sure where that fits in just yet.
Do we move in with just how it is and redo it while we are in it?
Or do we finish it before we move in so we don't have to worry about it when Little Man comes?
Honestly, I could care less at this point and just want to get into my house.
But things happen.
At least I know that there are reasons that things happen and that there are those fun lesson's to be learned along the way.

On Saturday we went to a Child Birth Prep Class.
Wow....
It's getting closer.
I'm soo excited to meet my Little Man yet so nervous to be a Mom.
I absolutely LOVE babies and have loved them all my life!
With my nieces and nephews, I would volunteer to change their diapers when they were babies because I got to spend one on one time with them and also got to hold them afterwards.
I totally knew how to work the system. ;)
But this Little Man is mine.
I am the one getting up with him in the middle of the night to feed him.
I have to bathe him and watch him.
It is a 24 hour job.
No 15 minute breaks
No 30 minute lunch breaks
No 7 - 3:30 (my current working hours)
and on top of taking care of a newborn, I get to be a house wife.
I'm going from one job to another.
and the second job doesn't ever go away.
I won't be able to quit
I won't be able to switch jobs because I am tired of what I am doing.
It's permanent.
I will have to figure out the "tricks" to this new job.
Find my groove
Make the "boss" (baby) happy
Meet certain quotas and deadlines
I also get to be a Mom
Raise a baby the way I know best
Watch him change as he grows each day
Watch his spirit and testimony build as I teach him about Christ
Watch as he imitates his Daddy and works along side him
Watch as Daddy sets the example of being the priesthood holder in our home
Watch his Daddy hold him and care for him
I think I am more excited to start my new "career" as each day passes.
And I cannot WAIT to see this Little Man in his Daddy's arms.
Dee is soo excited and already loves this little boy more than anything in this world.

Last night we were laying in bed and this little boy was moving like crazy!
It was so much fun to watch and feel!
We were either feeling an elbow or a knee last night and Dee swears he felt either his toes or his hand move across his.
It was so fun to watch his face light up and he was moving.
Makes me even more excited to see this little boy in his arms.

I also have my first baby shower in two weeks!
And Lindy will be here from Cali!
I'm soo excited to see her!
If you knew us growing up, you would be surprised at how close we are now.
We absolutely hated each other.
We rarely got along.
And when we did, it didn't last very long.
We fought so much that I think the last really bad one was before I got married, I pushed her through a wall.
Now we all laugh about it and it is a pretty funny story.
But yes...I did push my older sister through a wall.
Anyways...I got married and things got a little better but not much.
We were both in different places in our lives and it just wasn't meshing.
We aren't exactly sure when it all changed but we are best friends now.
I call her to vent about my day.
I call her to cry.
I call her just to tell her secrets.
I call just to talk.
Three and a half years ago you would not expect this.
I'm so excited to see her and for her to see my big belly!
I've been sending her pic updates but they just aren't the same.
Anyways... Ginger put together my announcements and I am soo happy with how they turned out.

Aren't they so dang cute?
I think so too!
Mandee took the adorable pictures!
except for the middle one. That was taken by Dr. Hartmen's office :)
Happy Monday!

Conference/Birthday Weekend

This past weekend was the best!
It was General Conference and also my Birthday!
We slept in on Saturday, sooo nice, and listened to the first session of conference as we were getting ready for the day.
Saturday they talked a lot about family and raising your kids.
There was also one speaker and the main focus of her talk was

I'm a Mormon

I know it
I live it
I love it!

It started with a girl she saw wearing a shirt with a saying on it and she wondered what her shirt would say and that is what she came up with.
I can't wait until all the talks are posted so I can read them!
If you want to listen to them, LDS or not, click here.
No matter what religion you are, they are really good talks about family and how we should live our lives.

After the first session, we went and watched my little Brody play his soccer game.

He scored one goal and immediately screamed, "Mom! You owe me a dollar!"
It was soo cute!
And he was playing the whole game without anyone holding him or holding his hand.
Huge progress!!
I love that little boy soo much!

After his game, it was freezing outside by the way, we went to Starbucks to get the traditional birthday Caramel Apple Spice!

Dee opted for Pepsi this time.
They were both delicious!
We still had time to kill before heading to PC so we went to visit Dee's Mom and get presents! :)
Can't go wrong with that on your b-day!
His Mom got me a brown shirt, scarf, and a really cute purse that has pockets!
I've been bugging Dee that I needed a new purse with pockets for the longest time!
I was soo excited!
During the last session on Saturday is when we decided to drive up the canyon.
It was gorgeous driving through all the colors with conference going.
We headed straight for the outlets first.
Duh
We, of course, bought this really cute outfit for our little man next year.

Of course it is going to be football.
And the jeans were too dang cute to pass up!
They had a dark jean jacket that we wanted to get too but it was a little much for us right now.
And I still have two baby showers coming up...
So we decided to wait until after the showers.
And who knows, maybe they will be on sale when we go back to get them!

We walked and looked around the stores and then we walked into Motherhood Maternity.
I wanted to see what shirts they had because the outlets usually have different clothing than the mall does.
Remember how I said I wouldn't give in and buy maternity pants...?
Yeah....Dee was definitely on a mission with my Mom to get me to give in.
Well...she bought me some work ones so I didn't give in and buy them there.
Her money..
But Dee...ugh.
I am now the owner of maternity jeans.
I gave in and let Dee buy me some.
But he also had to buy me a cute shirt too.
That was the deal.

We kept walking around and about to leave when Dee wanted to go look in Zales.
That is where we got my wedding ring.
They have the best customer service ever!
So we decided to go look.
Just look was what was on my mind.
Dee had another thing on his...
This is what we walked out with

They are gorgeous!
The pink is my birthstone.
And the earrings are 1/2 carat diamonds.
I am definitely spoiled...
Dee had the biggest smile on his face because he saw the smile on my face.
He is the cutest hubby ever!

We drove around PC and looked at all the cute little houses and then drove up to the houses up on the hill that overlooks PC.
Those houses are sooo huge and fun to look at!
And we have some awesome talks while we drive.
After we drove around we went to this delicious restaurant!

It is right on the resort and is the best Mexican restaurant ever!
It was the only place I wanted to eat dinner!
After dinner we usually get the fried ice cream but I was stuffed!
So we went the the Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory.
They have the best caramel apples!
I always get the Apple Pie caramel apple.
It is sooo good!
And I could slowly eat it as we drove home.

I had the best birthday on Saturday spending with the hubby!

On Sunday,
We tried to listen to the first session of conference but it was a little difficult at the Bartholomew's with the little kids screaming running around.
So we kinda gave up and will read them when they are posted.
For the second session we went over to April's and she helped me make my birthday cake!

I love it!!
and it tasted delicious!
The fondant she makes is all marshmallows!
The top layer looks more like police lights but I don't care.
I love my little mummy man in the middle!
We had fun baking, listening to conference, and talking.
I loved my Birthday/conference weekend!
Can't wait for the rest of the month!
Finishing and moving into my house,
Halloween,
Halloween,
and oh yeah!
HALLOWEEN!

Happy Monday!

30 Weeks

I'm sooo excited that it's my favorite season of all times!! :) :)
And....
It is October 1st!
October is my favorite month EVER!
part of it could be because my birthday is in 6 days...
Anyways...Mandee is amazing and said she would take some maternity pics for me.
I'm not huge yet but we still had fun and got some great shots!
Here are just a few:

And this one we laughed at for hours!
You can't tell that I'm married to a white boy...
His hands are so dark compared to mine!
I really hope that Little Man gets his skin!

How far along? 30 weeks
Total weight gain/loss? 18 lbs
Maternity clothes? I'm still holding strong and haven't bought any maternity pants.
Stretch marks? nothing new
Sleep? I sleep all night. well...without having to get up to go to the bathroom. sometimes I can't get comfy with a belly.
Best moment last week? I'm not at appts every two weeks! I love seeing how much he has grown in just two weeks.
Movement? He moves a ton still! Now I can see little bumps move across my belly. and he tickles my sides...
Food cravings? Still haven't had any food cravings
Gender? I think you know by now
Labor signs? None
Belly button in/out? neither. my belly button is flat! until I laugh then it pokes out.
What I miss: sleeping on my tummy
What I am looking forward to: Getting the rest of my house finished so I can move in and start on Little Man's room.
Milestones: We have had our own house for three weeks now and the remodel is coming along amazingly! The owners before us wouldn't be able to recognize the inside anymore and we haven't even started putting things back together! :)

I can't believe how fast time flies and wish it would slow down just a little bit more.
But I also can't wait to meet my Little Man.
