This past weekend was the best!
It was General Conference and also my Birthday!
We slept in on Saturday, sooo nice, and listened to the first session of conference as we were getting ready for the day.
Saturday they talked a lot about family and raising your kids.
There was also one speaker and the main focus of her talk was
I'm a Mormon
I know it
I live it
I love it!
It started with a girl she saw wearing a shirt with a saying on it and she wondered what her shirt would say and that is what she came up with.
I can't wait until all the talks are posted so I can read them!
If you want to listen to them, LDS or not, click
here.
No matter what religion you are, they are really good talks about family and how we should live our lives.
After the first session, we went and watched my little Brody play his soccer game.
He scored one goal and immediately screamed, "Mom! You owe me a dollar!"
It was soo cute!
And he was playing the whole game without anyone holding him or holding his hand.
Huge progress!!
I love that little boy soo much!
After his game, it was freezing outside by the way, we went to Starbucks to get the traditional birthday Caramel Apple Spice!
Dee opted for Pepsi this time.
They were both delicious!
We still had time to kill before heading to PC so we went to visit Dee's Mom and get presents! :)
Can't go wrong with that on your b-day!
His Mom got me a brown shirt, scarf, and a really cute purse that has pockets!
I've been bugging Dee that I needed a new purse with pockets for the longest time!
I was soo excited!
During the last session on Saturday is when we decided to drive up the canyon.
It was gorgeous driving through all the colors with conference going.
We headed straight for the outlets first.
Duh
We, of course, bought this really cute outfit for our little man next year.
Of course it is going to be football.
And the jeans were too dang cute to pass up!
They had a dark jean jacket that we wanted to get too but it was a little much for us right now.
And I still have two baby showers coming up...
So we decided to wait until after the showers.
And who knows, maybe they will be on sale when we go back to get them!
We walked and looked around the stores and then we walked into Motherhood Maternity.
I wanted to see what shirts they had because the outlets usually have different clothing than the mall does.
Remember how I said I wouldn't give in and buy maternity pants...?
Yeah....Dee was definitely on a mission with my Mom to get me to give in.
Well...she bought me some work ones so I didn't give in and buy them there.
Her money..
But Dee...ugh.
I am now the owner of maternity jeans.
I gave in and let Dee buy me some.
But he also had to buy me a cute shirt too.
That was the deal.
We kept walking around and about to leave when Dee wanted to go look in Zales.
That is where we got my wedding ring.
They have the best customer service ever!
So we decided to go look.
Just look was what was on my mind.
Dee had another thing on his...
This is what we walked out with
They are gorgeous!
The pink is my birthstone.
And the earrings are 1/2 carat diamonds.
I am definitely spoiled...
Dee had the biggest smile on his face because he saw the smile on my face.
He is the cutest hubby ever!
We drove around PC and looked at all the cute little houses and then drove up to the houses up on the hill that overlooks PC.
Those houses are sooo huge and fun to look at!
And we have some awesome talks while we drive.
After we drove around we went to this delicious restaurant!
It is right on the resort and is the best Mexican restaurant ever!
It was the only place I wanted to eat dinner!
After dinner we usually get the fried ice cream but I was stuffed!
So we went the the Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory.
They have the best caramel apples!
I always get the Apple Pie caramel apple.
It is sooo good!
And I could slowly eat it as we drove home.
I had the best birthday on Saturday spending with the hubby!
On Sunday,
We tried to listen to the first session of conference but it was a little difficult at the Bartholomew's with the little kids screaming running around.
So we kinda gave up and will read them when they are posted.
For the second session we went over to April's and she helped me make my birthday cake!
I love it!!
and it tasted delicious!
The fondant she makes is all marshmallows!
The top layer looks more like police lights but I don't care.
I love my little mummy man in the middle!
We had fun baking, listening to conference, and talking.
I loved my Birthday/conference weekend!
Can't wait for the rest of the month!
Finishing and moving into my house,
Halloween,
Halloween,
and oh yeah!
HALLOWEEN!
Happy Monday!
