Hakuna Matata

What a wonderful phrase.
Hakuna Matata!
Ain't no passin craze.

It means no worries
For the rest of your days.
It's our problem-free philosophy.
Hakuna Matata!

Our theme for the weekend.
Saturday my little boys played there hearts out again.
We lost 2 -1...but the goals they scored, they didn't earn them.
My adorable little boys are still figuring out the goalie thing.
I thought they understood it, but I guess we will be practicing more at practice on Thursday.
After the game, Dee and I were driving home when Hakuna Matata came on.
(yes I do have Lion King on my ipod) :)
We turned it up and both sand at the top of our lungs.
I sang Timon's part and hubby did Pumba's part.
It was hilarious!

Our worry free day turned into night.
We went on a double with my bestie and by brother-in-law.
(Maddi and Dusty)
We started out at Chili's.....sooo delish as always.
We had a blast talking and catching up with each other.
After dinner, we went to Toad's in Ogden.
There is soo much to do there!
There is mini golf (indoor and outdoor),
laser tag,
go kart racing,
batting cages,
climbing wall,
driving rage
and of course....
and arcade!
The only things we didn't do was the climbing wall, driving rage and batting cages.
We had so much fun laughing and making fools out of ourselves :)
Don't worry....the foolishness has calmed down a little since we are older.
We loved the arcade and won soo many tickets!
Maddi and I sat and played Wheel of Fortune most of the time.
You could win a lot of tickets.
Mostly it was 50 a game!
It was Maddi's turn, she spun the wheel, and we weren't really paying attention to where it landed.
When we looked at the screen both of us froze....
the wheel landed on 200!!!!
At the end of the game, she won 1200 tickets!!!!!
OH.MY.GOSH!!
We probably looked like little girls jumping up and down!
haha!
It was a blast!
It took forever though for all her tickets to come out.
By the end of the night I think they had about 1800 tickets...
Hubby and I did pretty well.
We had about 600.
We had so much fun that night!
and....believe it or not...that was the FIRST double I have been on with my bestie!
We have been friends for....EVER!
It was the best night ever!

Fall is Officially Here!

My all-time favorite season is officially here!
What other season can you have the most beautiful colors popping up everywhere?
Since fall is here, that also means my birthday is coming up.
Woohoo!
But that's just a bonus... :)
My favorite holiday that I am SOO excited for is.....
can you guess? I'm pretty sure you can...
HALLOWEEN!!!!
I love all the cute decorations that come out this time of year.
If they are for fall or for Halloween.
They are my absolute favorite.
I love to see the oranges and yellows mixed in with the little spots of green.
Oh yeah, you can't forget purple, black, ghost white and all those other spooky colors. :)

To add to all the rest of the fun, it's also soccer season!
We had our first game last week but I love waking up when its chilly and sitting on the side of a field watching my little U10 Red Lighting boys play their little hearts out.
The smell that early in the morning in the best smell ever.
If you've ever been cold sitting on the side line watching a game in the morning, you'll know what I'm talking about.
You have little time to pay attention to the cold because your adrenaline is running as you are watching the boys pass the ball to each other
run past the defense to get the shot on goal
pass one more time to a team mate and shoot for the goal.
I love playing soccer and I wish I still played.
But it can't get any better than what I have right now.
Watching my little boys learn what I teach them and also take from practice and put it on the field.
The treats after the game aren't bad either ;)
After yelling at the top of my lungs so the boys can hear me over their parents does take a lot of work.

Now.....one more week until my favorite month  :)

'Most Surprises/Unplanned Events in One Weekend'

This weekend has won the Oscar for 'Most Surprises/Unplanned Events in One Weekend'.
Friday....ooooo.....Friday night was  frustrating.
and I've been frustrated ever since about it.
I caught someone I know very well with my Brother-in-Law.
The thing that makes me the most angry about this, they are doing it behind my back!
I know I shouldn't be this upset about it but... ok....thats my venting about that particular subjet.
I still have the rest of the day to try to be happy.

Saturday was really fun!
Probably the only fun day of the weekend.
We had our first soccer game with the Red Lightning!
I am soo proud of my little 9 and 10 year olds.
They played their little hearts out.
We are positive of the score but it was either tied, or they won by one goal.
That's ok though, because it was our first game and the other team had a one up on us cuz this was their second.

Sunday it was Grandpa Lyle's birthday so we had dinner at Grandma's house.
dinner was good, we were having fun talking, laughing, just chillen, when things came out about the BYU vs. Utah game.
The crap hit the fan.
and......this was all before we were going over to Grandpa Lyle's grave to release balloons.
Miranda and I had some really great talks about family and they way they act.
If the people in your family love each other so much, why do they say just hurtful things...?
None of it makes much sense to either of us.
There was a lot of family issues last night with that side of the family as well as other people's families that we learned of last night also.
The things people say to each other makes me sick.

I never though I'd say this but I'm glad the weekend is over and work is here....
I know the title might not fit...but for me it totally does.
(sorry about the venting. to much on my mind right now...)

Bathroom Buddies

This is 'potty' talk so if you do like to read that stuff, skip this post.

I know rumors state that girls like to go to the bathroom together so they can talk and gossip...
At work...totally different scenario...
At work it's the guys that like to go together and talk/gossip.
They are always walking out in groups of 2 - 4.
There are some guys that do go by themselves, they are big boys.
But it amazes me how many men go together.
You can hear them laughing and talking in between toilets flushing.
and they are still laughing as they walk out the door to go back to their offices.

Personally, I like to go by myself.
I don't think I've been in the bathroom when there has been more than 2 or 3 people.

Guys are just plain weird....

The Best Sound in the World is Little Kids Laughing

I know this is late but two weeks ago we went to Bear Lake to spend time with Amber, Shawn, Cooper and Sadie.
We had a BLAST!
We arrived Friday night after the kiddies already went to bed so we hung out with Amber and Shawn for a few hours before going to bed.
Saturday morning, I got up early to go running into Lake Town(6 miles, and yes I am proud).
As I was getting ready in the bathroom, I hear a little knock on the door.
Cooper was standing at the door and he wanted to know what I was doing and when Dee was going to wake up.
I know everyone says this, but I have the most adorable nephews and nieces EVER!
I told him that I was going running and would be back in an hour and Dee should be up by the time we got home.
He gave me a hug and kiss then went back into his parents room to watch cartoons.
My run felt really good, and it was fun to watch the lake as I ran.
When I got back Dee still wasn't awake....hehehe(evil laugh).
I love taking the kids to wake Dee up.
I grabbed Cooper and Sadie and we ran upstairs to jump on Dee.
The kids were laughing so hard as I tossed Sadie on Dee and Cooper jumped on the bed.
When Dee woke up and realized who it was he joined in as well. :)
I think one of my most favorite thing to do with my nephews and nieces to other people is jump on them when they are sleeping.... :)
I know, I'm mean....but you would do it too if you could hear their adorable laughs!
We took the boat out for a fun ride.
It was a gorgeous day. The water was calm, sun shining, nice cooling breeze...perfect.
There was a sail boat race going on too.
They are soo pretty!
I think it would be a blast to ride on one....maybe next time.
Oh yeah....did I mention that there is NO beach???? really....
You walk five feet and you are in the water...
It's crazy how much water is in the lake!
Saturday night we went to Montpelier for a yummy pizza dinner at Studabakers.
They have some of the best pizza ever!
After dinner we walked around until our movie started.
We went and saw The Smurf's!
I Smurf you!
It's a really cute show....at least Cooper and I thought so.
We were laughing throughout the whole movie.
Sadie turned to Shawn and said, 'this is dumb'.
The things that kids say....
Sunday we relaxed, plaid Lego Bateman on the Wii, relaxed.....
What else do you do on a Sunday.
We had a yummy Sunday dinner too!
Shawn made the burgers, Amber made the potato salad, and I made the chicken salad.
it was delish.
OH!!!!! I almost forgot!!!
I LOVE going up to the Lake because Amber always teaches me something new to make.
This time I made the BEST peach pie!!! :)
We had fresh peaches and it was Amber's idea to make the pie.
The only thing she helped me with was laying the homemade pie crust on the bottom of the pan.
I was having a hard time keeping it together... haha!
After it was done cooking, it really looked like one of the fake pies you buy from Tai Pan for decoration.
It was GORGEOUS!!
Anyways....Monday was another day to just relax because there were some nasty looking clouds hanging over the lake.
We still had a blast playing with the kids.
Here are some pics from Bear Lake

I love going to Bear Lake to spend time away from the world and with my sister and her family.

9 boys + 9 soccer balls + two fun coaches = AWESOME Soccer Practice

Yesterday we had our first soccer practice with our new U10 Team.
It was soo much fun!
I'm so glad I had AMAZING coaches throughout my life.
I am now using their drills that I did on my team.
Dee Dee is technically the Head Coach and a pretty good one.
She asked me to be the Assistant Coach because she didn't know for sure what she was doing since she didn't play soccer when she was little.
She did AWESOME last night!
She knew when to stop drills and show the kids what to do or add something else to the drill.
We are going to have a fun season together.
It's been so much fun to get all the equipment, write down drills, make a schedule for the parents, figure out practices and what we are going to work on.
I've never been more excited to teach someone something that I absolutely LOVE to do!
Soccer has been a part of my life since I can remember and I would love to keep it that way.
I think it would be a BLAST to coach older kids(jr. high or high school) because that is the most I remember from practices.
Right now I'll start with my adorable, fun loving U10 kids. :)

My Favorite Season

Fall
Who doesn't love fall?
Not to hot, not to cold.
Fun colors flying around as you jump in the pile of leaves.
Ok...so I really really really LOVE fall!
I love decorating with the cute ghosts and skeletons.
So.. maybe my favorite holiday is also Halloween.
What other holiday can you decorate with cute things that are suppose to give people nightmares? (maybe that's just me)
I'm soo excited for Fall, Halloween, and October.
Another reason I LOVE Fall....my BIRTHDAY! woohoo!
And this year I am running the Layton Marathon with Dee Dee and Tanill!
I can't wait at all for October to come.
This year is going to be one of the BEST October's EVER!
Oh yeah....we are buying a house!!!
The plan is to be in before my birthday...which is the first week of October.

I think we better get busy and look for a house. :)
I'm soo excited for everything that is happening this year and am so glad that I have Dee to share this excitedness with! :)
