Two and a half years ago, Dee and I met at Ultimate Indoor in Ogden when I was dating his friend. One month later we had our first date, August 22nd, at Goodwood. When Dee picked me up, half of my family was there. April (of course) asked him weird random questions like 'What's your shoes size?'. Before we left she said, 'You should stick around for a little while' meaning dating me. I couldn't believe she said that! I knew the guy was attractive but really had no idea who he was besides Spencer's friend.

During the date Dee totally talked himself up. He sat front row in the End Zone for the Denver Broncos (favorite team) game, has done soo much work to his F150, drove this Ferrari and that car, raced his dirt bike in this race,
blah blah blah. I remember thinking that 'this guy is really cocky'. And to top it off, there was a tv behind me with football playing. He paid more attention to the tv than to me. There was no possible way that he was getting a 2nd date....

The next day, August 23rd, we were on our way to the Tremonton Rodeo. I don't know how this 'cocky' guy got a second date out of me. The date started out pretty good. I met his entire family that night...weird way to start things out, he met most of my family the 1st date and I met his the 2nd.. We were watching the rodeo and having a little water fight, and when I say little I mean little. Drip here, drop there, when I got more than a drop on his Lucky jeans. Little did I know, Dee
HATED getting his expensive Lucky jeans wet. He was furious! He didn't talk to me for almost a half hour! I remember thinking, 'Really?! It's just water! This guy is ridiculous!' Definitely no 3rd date.
WRONG!

I don't know if this is how it was for anyone else but there was something pulling me towards him. Something always brought me back to him. Even though he was cocky and hated getting his Lucky jeans wet...
Well, the only thing I can say I did do was that he asked me to be his girlfriend.....8 times....I said no 7 :) Even though I said no nothing changed between us. We still dated and went along with our relationship. The night I knew, absolutely knew why I kept coming back to him, that I was suppose to be with him, we were at Bear Lake under that stars talking about life, family, etc. I opened up to him like I've never opened up to anyone and it felt AMAZING! That night he asked me for the 8th and final time to be his girlfriend and saying 'Yes' felt so good. It was like the missing link to my heart was found (cheesy I know).

On February 21st, Dee proposed in front of the Salt Lake Temple at the reflections pond with family and friends surrounding us. We were sealed for
Time and all Eternity on June 18th 2009.
We have had our Ups and Downs but never would I ask for a better friend to go through trials with. I have the most quirky, cocky, loving, dorky, caring, goofy, sweet, stubborn, loud, obnoxious, sexy hubby in the entire world! I love you so much Dee!
